Edwin Martinez

On Sunday, April 9, 2023,  Edwin Martinez suddenly passed away in Ocala, Fl., formerly of Baltimore, MD. Beloved father of Shavvon Martinez and Jazmin Martinez Jeffries and her husband Andre. Grandfather of Andre, Jr., Jayla and Aria. He is also survived by his brother Freddie Martinez and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; Carmen and Carlos Martinez and his brother Charlie Martinez.

Edwin was originally from Bronx, New York and moved to Baltimore, MD to give his family a better life. He retired from FedEx Freight after 20 years and gave 20 years to L.A.M.A. Baltimore as the President, finishing out his L.A.M.A. membership in Spring Hill Chapter. He loved hosting the ride to Rolling Thunder and Fells Point in Baltimore every May. He had the biggest heart and larger than life personality, he was the life of the party.

Family and friends are invited to the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW, (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 for a "Time of Gathering and Remembrance"  on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 2:00 pm till 6:00 pm. His Inurnment will be held at a later time privately. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Lymphoma Society.
