Eileen Reed

July 23, 1939 — June 7, 2013

Eileen M. Reed, 73, a resident of Annapolis, formerly of Glen Burnie and Arnold, passed away on June 7, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was born on July 23, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late Walter and Carrie McQuay. Eileen graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1957. She loved and enjoyed being a homemaker throughout her married life and at times managed small retail stores. Eileen was an active member with Community United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas L. Reed; two daughters, Kelly L. Rogers and Stacey S. Sanner; three grandchildren, Megan, Rachel and David; and two siblings, Oliver McQuay and Patricia Nieberline. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway; Annapolis, MD 21401 OR American Cancer Society, 1041 Rte. 3 North Building A1; Gambrills, MD 21054.
