Eleanor Sobiski

On April 19, 2008, Eleanor J. Sobiski passed on. Eleanor was dearly loved by her beloved husband of 53 years, Frank M. Sobiski; her cherished daughter, Theresa M. Halstad; her beloved grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Matthew and Eric Halstad; her caring brother, the late Raymond Mazza; her beloved parents, the late Giacomino and Theresa Mazza; and her dear son-in-law, Christopher Halstad. Eleanor was born in Steelton, Pennsylvania in 1930. She was a member of the Catholic Daughter's of America Setow Order at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, the Sodality of St. Philip Neri, the Past Ladies Auxiliary - Andover Apaches; and Post 2462 VFW in Pasadena Ladies Auxiliary. She was a life member of the Roland Terr. Dem. Club, Stoney Creek Dem. Club, the Ferndale Community Club, Charter Member, Ferndale Seniors Road Runners. She volunteered for the Chesapeake Creative Arts in Brooklyn Park, and was an aid to the former delegate Joan Cadden (Brooklyn Park). Eleanor enjoyed many hobbies in life including travelling, especially to Jersey shore and Disney World, collecting Disney memorabilia, and spending time with her grandchildren.
