Elizabeth Barranger

Elizabeth Joyce Barranger, 92, an eight year resident of Glen Burnie, formerly of Ellicott City, passed away on March 7, 2012. She was born in Baltimore, MD, on October 6, 1919 to the late Bertha and William Welden. Joyce was an administrative assistant in the finance department for Howard County. She enjoyed reading, needlework, writing poetry, and spending time with her grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 68 years, William F. Barranger. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Bredon and Joyce Klein. Joyce is also survived by four grandchildren, Michael Abbott, William Klein, Dana Cline, Kevin Klein and nine great-grandchildren as well as three great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy, Annapolis, MD 21401 OR The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L St., NW, Washington, D.C. 20037.
