A retired Government Sales Manager with Barton Duer and Koch Paper co. of Cheverly, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Hospice of the Chesapeake Mandrin House in Harwood, Maryland. Born in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Zorb has lived in Crofton, Maryland since 1974. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Zorb, her parents Joseph B. and Ella B. Huntt, her sister Mary E. Leonardi, and two brothers William M. Huntt and John W. Huntt. She is survived by her sons and their wives, G. David and Jo Ann Zorb of Lewes, DE and G. Bruce and Patricia A. Zorb of Burke, VA, granddaughters, Stephanie J. Mathis, Melanie R. Zorb, and Jessica L. Sides and nine great-grandchildren.
Ella Mae was a competitive bridge player in Crofton and the surrounding areas. An active member of the Crofton Garden Club, she often could be found in her garden attending her beautiful flowers and plants. A long time member of the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, she assisted with Altar Guild and was a past member of the Vestry. Her main passion was her work with the Crofton Christian Caring Council. She took great joy in working with area churches and raising funds to provide a "safety net" for community members who need assistance during tough times.
