Elmer Sakowski

On May 20, 2010 Elmer "Toph" "Buddy" Sakowski of Linthicum; beloved husband of the late Gertrude Sakowski; devoted father of Donna DuPuis of Linthicum, MD, David Sakowski of Florida, and Daniel Sakowski and his wife Sharon of Jarrettsville, MD; dear brother of Dorothy Zukaitis; loving grandfather of Danielle DuPuis, Eric, Christopher, Craig and Timothy Sakowski. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Henry Toepfer and Earl Sakowski, and 2 sisters, Frieda Shepke and Irma Booker. Elmer was born in Baltimore in 1919. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of WWII. His hobbies included crabbing, vegetable gardening, playing cards, reading, and mostly spending time with his family.
