On May 27, 2011 Elwood E. Myers of Odenton passed away. Mr. Myers was born on June 15, 1924 in Lewisburg, PA to Alfred and Elizabeth Myers.
Elwood joined the Civil Conservation Corp as a young man, and then the Navy. He received both the European and Pacific Theater ribbons, along with the American Theater and Victory Medal. He served from June 1943 to April 1946. Mr. Myers worked at Sunbright Laundry and McMillan Blodel as a maintenance mechanic. He also worked as a reserve police officer for Anne Arundel Co. for 10 years. Elwood was a board member of A.A. County Fair Assoc. and a member of the Nichols Bethal U.M.C.
Mr. Myers is predeceased by his wife Genevieve Myers and his parents. He leaves behind his daughter Letitia Richard and her husband Bernard. His 3 grandchildren; Mathew, Andrew, and Darlene Richard, and his great grandson Brenton. He also leaves behind his brother Elmo Myers.
