Emma "Bernice" Fortman

              On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Emma “Bernice” Fortman of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Henry Fortman, Jr.; loving mother of James G. Fortman and his wife, Jane, Matthew S. Fortman and Mark J. Fortman and his wife, Sally; devoted grandmother of Kyle Fortman (Kalika), Mariah Fortman and Megan Gatto (Tony).  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa and John Grube; and her siblings, Hilda Todd, John and Norbert Grube and Rita Michael.

         Family and friends are invited to gather at  Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2^nd Avenue, SW, (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061  on Thursday, November 2nd,  from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, November 3rd, 11 am, at St. Anthanasius Chapel, 4708 Prudence Street, Baltimore, MD 21226. Graveside service and interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, MD.
