Emma Lucille Richards

Emma Lucille Richards, 97, passed away August 24, 2023. Born in Solly, Maryland, Emma was a long-time resident of Severna Park, Maryland most of her life. Born to the late Burton and Leona Boyer (Tayman) she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John C. Richards . Emma is survived by her two sons, John C.Richards Jr. (Kathy Brady), and Roland H. Richards (Kathy), and her sister, Elsie Groboski. She was the devoted grandmother of Jeffery and Marianne Richards and Christopher Goddard and great-grandmother of 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Evan and Sterling. Emma enjoyed reading, crafts and playing board games. In her earlier years she loved camping and long Sunday drives in the country. Emma was loved by her extended family and friends. She will truly be missed.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie on Thursday, August 31st from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 1st at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at MD Veterans Cemetery.
