Eva Gross

February 14, 1937 — April 7, 2014

Eva Elizabeth "Bettie" Gross, 77, of Glen Burnie, formerly of Catonsville, passed away on April 7, 2014. Bettie was born on Valentine's Day in 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked as an instructional aide at Hawthorne Elementary School and Edmondson Heights Elementary School in Baltimore County. She had previously worked at the Church Mission of Help for the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland which provided adoption services and foster care. Bettie volunteered at Point Pleasant Elementary School and the Pascal Senior Center, was a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Troop Leader, and called BINGO in her apartment building. She was also a parishioner at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Halethorpe for over 30 years where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Bettie enjoyed playing BINGO, volunteering, and spending time with her family.

Bettie is survived by her three beloved children, Jerry Gross, Dan Gross, and Beth Coleman; seven cherished grandchildren Megan, Amanda, and Abigail Gross, and Dennis, William, David, and Benjamin Coleman. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 45 years, William "Bill" Gross.
