Evanelle R. Fox, age 93, of Linthicum Heights, MD, passed away on February 28, 2023. She was born in Berlin, PA on March 5, 1929, daughter of Myron and Mamie (Rose) Queer. She was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. Evanelle moved to Baltimore and married Raymond J. Fox who passed away on January 25, 1972. She was employed by and retired from C&P Telephone Company.
Evanelle was a long-time parishioner at St. Philip Neri Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister for many years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, and was an active member of the AARP – Linthicum Chapter. She loved to exercise and was an active member of Jazzercise in Glen Burnie until she was 80 years old.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond J. Fox, Jr. and Barry J. Fox (Donna), a daughter, Gwen Cates (Terry) and a brother, Merle. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, Alfred, John and Thomas, and one grandson, Raymond Fox, III.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, March 7th from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Philip Neri Church on Wednesday, March 8th at 10 AM. Interment to follow at New Cathedral Cemetery.
