Frances Holt

Frances Brinson Holt, 86, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on November 3, 2021, at home after a six-year, hard-fought battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her family.  Frances was born in Pamlico County, North Carolina, on July 2, 1935, to the late Eva and Gilbert Brinson.  A deeply devout Christian, she enjoyed playing the piano - she could play anything by ear.  She and her husband, Pete, loved to travel with their friends.  They even visited all 50 states.  She was a very organized woman.  She kept her house immaculate and organized all of her pictures.  She also organized the annual bus trip to NY around the Christmas holiday to see the Rockettes.  Frances also enjoyed reading, shopping, and looking up things on her iPhone.

Frances is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Pete Holt; her beloved sons, Howie (Charlotte) Holt, Gary Holt, and Rodney Holt; and her cherished grandchildren, Samantha (Corey) Chwatt, Caroline Holt, Stone Holt, and Taylor Holt.  She was predeceased by her dear siblings, Oleene Cayton and Franklin Brinson.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Friday, November 12th,  from 2-4 & 6 - 8 pm.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 13th, at 1 PM, at Faith Baptist Church, 7378 E Furnace Branch Rd, Glen Burnie, MD 21060. A private interment will be held at a later date at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.  Memorial contributions in Frances’ name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake at www.hospicechesapeake.org
