On January 27, 2006, Francis James Butler, Jr., a resident of Florida for over 20 years, passed away of natural causes. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret V. Butler; loving father to James and Wayne Butler, and Deborah Nelson; devoted brother to Virginia Butler, Beverly Mieneke, Betty Kozan, Barbara Hoch, and Mary Maude Butler; and a cherished grandfather to seven, and great-grandfather to 13. He was predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, Roland, Larry, and Jerry Butler, and three sisters, Anne Lane, Joan Mieneke, and Peggy Butler. Francis attended the University of Maryland-Baltimore Campus and worked as an electronic engineer for over 30 years at Westinghouse, starting out at the Lansdowne location and then finishing at the Airarm location. He served in the Navy from 1941-1943. Francis belonged to Toastmasters - a club promoting public speaking, Computer Club in Florida, and the American Legion Post 0119 also in Florida. In his spare time, he enjoyed computers, gardening, and telling jokes.
