Fred John Titus, Sr., age 81, passed away on October 10, 2024, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. Born on October 3, 1943, in Baltimore to the late Ann and Seeley Titus, Fred was a proud veteran who served honorably in the U.S. Army. He had a long and fulfilling career as a certified welder at Baltimore Air Coil, dedicating 40 years to his profession. Fred had a passion for fishing and crabbing, and enjoyed watching the History Channel and Fox News. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family.
Fred is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Sharon Lee Titus; his loving daughter, Erin Lee Hewitt and her husband Josh; his beloved grandchildren, Stacy Gaynor, Haven Handley, Mason Hewitt, Malia Hewitt, Laney Handley, and Fred Titus, III; his cherished great-grandchildren, Logan Gaynor, Meredith Gaynor, Easton Titus, and Rowan Titus; as well as his dear brother, Donald Titus. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tina Marie Titus.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., located at 1 2nd Ave. S.W. (at Crain Hwy), on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 10 am in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fred’s name may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation at https://t2t.org/.
Fred will be remembered for his love of family, loyalty, and dedication to his work. His kind spirit and warm heart will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
