Gene Shiflett

On March 5, 2007, Gene Tunney Shiflett passed on. Gene is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty L. Shiflett; his son, Mark T. Shiflett; his daughter, Jean Jackson, and her husband, Gary E. Jackson; and his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Jackson. Gene was born in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1928. He was a member of the US Army early in his life. Later, he became a Union Officer in the Local 311. He was a Merchant Marine. Gene was a member of the VFW. He also enjoyed many hobbies, such as motorcycles and travelling. One of Gene's greatest qualities was how he enjoyed working to help others. Gene was a good, giving man.
