George Burkindine

On November 22, 2009; GEORGE WILLIAM "Billy" BURKINDINE; 88, of Glen Burnie, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on November 22, 2009. He is a longtime Glen Burnie resident. He was a beer salesman and had retired from Pabst. He served in the US Navy during WWII, serving in two theaters. He was a founding member of the Glen Burnie Sportsman Club Assoc, Inc., a lifetime member of the Earleigh Heights Vol. Fire Dept., a member of the Holy Trinity Seniors and Glen Burnie Moose. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and crabbing. He like to play cards, a Baltimore Ravens and Orioles Fan and loved to watched TV. He is the beloved husband of the late Lula Mae Burkindine; devoted father of Gary K. Burkindine, Colleen M. Pettus and the late William H. and Linda A. Burkindine; dear brother of Margaret Moog, Maude Leonard, Townson Burkindine and Roberta Jo Murphy; loving father-in-law of Dona and Karen Burkindine and Edward Pettus; he is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
