George R. Crosby, 64, of Littlestown, PA and formerly of Severn and Severna Park, MD, passed away on June 4, 2023. George was born on December 5, 1958 in Baltimore, MD. He retired from N.S.A. after 36 years of Federal service in Installations and Logistics. George was a member of the Littlestown Fish & Game Association and the Alpha Fire Company 20 in Littlestown, PA. He was also a former member of the Kent Island Vol. Fire Dept., Federalsburg Vol. Fire Dept., Maryland City Vol. Fire Dept. and Earleigh Heights Vol. Fire Dept. He served as a Firefighter, EMT, CRT, Paramedic and as a Fire Policeman. George was a NRA Instructor and his true love was shooting trap, skeet and sporting clays. He also enjoyed camping.
George is survived by his wife of 19 years, Carol M. Boyer-Crosby; his children, Rebecca and Raymond Boyer; his mother, Mary Kay Crosby; his sister, Linda K. Crosby; his brother, Earl Brittian; and his brother-in-law, Charles R. Boyer, Sr. (Michelle). He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Crosby, his daughter, Emma Virginia Boyer-Crosby; and his beloved Yellow Labrador Retriever, Crosby’s Riverline “Ranger”.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, June 13th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 14th at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
