On October 21, 2016, George A. Hoffman, Sr., 90, passed away at Genesis Hammonds Lane Center. George was born in 1925 to the late Annie and George Hoffman in Baltimore, and he served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Corporal. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic at a metal fabrication company. Pop-Pop (as he was affectionately known), enjoyed gardening, camping, Ocean City, Disney World, watching the Ravens, and being with his family.
George was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Muriel, his son George, and son-in-law, John. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Muriel; his loving grandchildren, Tammy and Greg, Cheryl, Donna and Wayne, Seleste, and PJ and Chris; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Megan and Michael, Melody, Morgan, Christopher, Josh, Nick, Kelli, and Alex.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie on Monday, October 24th, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 25th, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
