On November 25, 2011, George B. King of Gambrills; devoted husband of Betty E. King; loving father of David H. Persinger, Jerry L. Persinger, Peggy Gail Honaker, Barbara A. Payne; beloved grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of many; dear brother of William, Eugene, and the late Manuel King and brother-in-law of Peggy, Joanne, and Kathy King.
George was born in Chase City, VA to Mary & John King and served his country proudly as a Corporal in the United States Army. He was a carpenter and security guard at the Applied Physics Lab at the Johns Hopkins University. George was a member of the Laurel Moose Lodge 1504 and the Odenton Heritage Society and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, walking and travelling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Glen Baptist Church, 508 W Furnace Branch Rd Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
