George J. Neumeister, born on August 5, 1933, in Baltimore, MD, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Delray Beach, FL. He was a devoted family man, known for his unwavering loyalty and kindness. George served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army, specializing as a Morse Code Interceptor, before having a distinguished career as an analyst at the NSA. George was married to Lorraine L. Neumeister (53 years), and after her passing, he married Nancy L. Neumeister (13 years). He is survived by his siblings: Barbara (Bobbie) Hess and Carla Showacre, and his children: MaryLou Saks (David), Karen Cowger (John), Cindy Davis (Tom), Laura Propert (Steve), George F. Neumeister (Tonya), and Julia Johnston (Bryon). He was preceded in death by his parents, George A. Neumeister and Ann Neumeister, and his daughter, Melissa Yourkovik. George was a proud grandfather of 14, a great-grandfather to 10, and a great-great-grandfather to 3.
A man of many interests, George enjoyed bowling, golf, jigsaw puzzles, and Scrabble. He had a particular fondness for the History Channel, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy! His love for sports was evident in his loyalty to the Orioles and Ravens, reflecting his spirited nature. George's smile was infectious, and the glimmer in his eyes brought warmth to all who knew him. He cherished gatherings with family and friends, making it a point to stay connected with those he loved. A devout and faithful servant of the Lord, George's legacy of love, honor, and devotion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
