George Schmincke

On August 6, 2006, George Thomas Schmincke passed on. George is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Geraldine Schmincke; his dear sons, Glenn and Gary Schmincke; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Ackerman. George was born in December of 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland. He lived in Glen Burnie for 48 years of his life. He worked as a machinist for 30 years. He was a member of the House of Delegates for District 32 for 13 years. George was an active member of his community. He was a member of many organizations, including the District 32 Democratic Club, the Knights of Columbus, the Elk Club, the American Legion, the St. Philip Neri Men's Club, the Ferndale Community Club, the A.G.C. Alliance and the Founder of the North Ferndale Community Association. George enjoyed many hobbies. He liked golfing, woodworking, crabbing & fishing, boating and travelling. George was a good man who will be missed by many people.
