George Frederick Schneider, Jr.

April 12, 1950 — February 25, 2025

George Frederick Schneider Jr., 74, of Linthicum, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2025, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, surrounded by his loving wife, MaryAlice, his two sons, Chad and Todd, and family.

Born on April 12, 1950, in Baltimore, George was the son of the late George Schneider Sr. and Lillian Floyd (maiden name) Schneider.  After graduating from Brooklyn Park High School in 1968, George began his distinguished career with the Department of Defense at the National Security Agency (NSA), where he worked for 40 years.  During his tenure at NSA, George was known for his exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to national service.  His work played a vital role in supporting the Agency's mission, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.

On September 28th, 1987, George entered Liberty Pickering Lodge #219, where he became an active and devoted member.  On November 23rd, 1987, George was raised to a 32nd Degree Master Mason, he exemplified the values of brotherhood, service, and integrity.  His dedication to Freemasonry was unwavering, and he applied its principles in both his personal and professional life.  George also contributed to charitable efforts through his membership in the Shriners' Boumi Temple, where he worked alongside fellow members to support their community and improve the lives of others.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, George was a passionate car enthusiast.  He was an active member of the Vintage Tin and Street Survivors Car Club, where he shared his love for classic automobiles and worked to preserve automotive history.  His passion for cars, especially their timeless craftsmanship, was evident to all who knew him.

George is survived by his beloved wife, MaryAlice Schneider, of 53 years; his sons, Chad and his wife Laura, and their children Addison and Carter, and Todd and his wife Melissa, and their children Cadence, Caleb and Tori; Gloria Jaschik and her husband Bob Jaschik; and a host of family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George Schneider Sr. and Lillian Floyd Schneider, and his sister Dianne Bechtel and her husband Norman Bechtel.
