Geraldine Schmincke

GERALDINE LEITZ SCHMINCKE, 88, a long time resident of Ferndale passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on March 6, 2012. She was born in Baltimore on September 27, 1923. She graduated from St. Agnes High School, class of 1942. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant with the Maryland General Assembly from the 70's - early 90's. Geraldine was a member of Chi Sigma Sorority, St. Philip Neri Sodality, Ferndale Road Runners and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bus trips, traveling, socializing, golfing, visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was active in politics. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George Thomas Schmincke and granddaughter, Kimberly Brubaker. She is survived by her two sons, Glenn and wife Diane of Arnold and Gary and his wife Margie of Catonsville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
