"My son is going to be a priest", his Mum said.....so he started out in life at a young age to boarding school, about age 12.
He graduated from Seton Hall preparatory, Darlington Hall, Seton Hall University Philosophy, theology. Jerry received a Bachelor of Arts in classical languages. He was an Army Security Agency specialist 4th class Monterey, California language school. Transferred to Fort Meade, Maryland.
Worked there until retirement. Jerry settled in Linthicum in late 1960's.
He is survived by a beautiful fine son, Richard Todd, a gorgeous daughter-in-law, loving sister, Bernice Todd, and care giver~wife, Rosalind Todd. Also extended family, and friends in Missouri, New Jersey, Maryland, Spain, France, United Kingdom and Australia.
Jerry also loved to travel extensively across the world, almost nearly every continent.
His primary first stroke never stopped him from travel.
Through his strongest years, Jerry was so involved with St. Philip Neri Church Men's Club. Their mission is to love, honor and serve. He had coached baseball and basketball there as well.
In his retirement years, he wrote articles to the Baltimore Sun, and to the Maryland Gazette about social injustices.
He wrote to Seton Hall University, Seton Hall Pirates basketball team, Notre Dame Football team's Fighting Irish especially, to the coaches to advise them how to make the teams better players so they could win.
He also wrote to his favorite history, geography, Civil and World War, international travel and sports magazines. He would get gifts and prizes because he would critique them, and tell them they had made mistakes. He was interested in all things.
He gave monies to animal shelters especially one in Missouri. He had learned to be very generous, but not towards his own failing health issues.
He gave monies to Seton Hall, St. Philip Neri Church, and to the American Heart Association.

In God, with God, forever in spirit, we celebrate you, Jerry, who is so strong willed, so determined, and so powerful for so long, and yet so disabled.
Oh God, you will be missed.
