Gilbert N. Cavey, Sr., 72, of Glen Burnie passed away on January 25, 2016. He was born on May 25, 1943 in Baltimore to the late Gilbert N. and Marian C. Cavey. He served in the US Marine Corps. as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Mr. Cavey was a member of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion Post 40. He enjoyed bowling, watching football games and he loved the Ravens and the Orioles.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Debbie Cavey (nee Fairbanks); his children, Tina Smith, Michele Scarbro (Joe), Jason Powers (Leah), and Gilbert Cavey, Jr. (Brittany); his sister, Sharon Miller (George). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Gilbert's name may be made to The Institute for Cancer Care at Mercy, 227 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, MD 21202.
