Gladys Harris

Gladys M. Harris, 77, courageously lost her battle with cancer on January 4, 2012. She was born in North Carolina to the late Cecil and Iva Lee Burgess on April 14, 1934. She graduated from Whitakers High School and was employed with H & R Block for eight years. Gladys was a member of North Glen Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, sewing and her flower garden. She is survived by her two sons, Irvin S. Harris, Jr. and wife Teri Chambers and Landon R. Harris and wife Heidi; she will also be missed by her beloved cat, Babs. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin S. Harris, Sr.; two brothers, Jack and Randolph Burgess. Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Road; Reisterstown, MD 21136.
