Mrs. Gloria G. Davis died from natural causes August 16 at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Linthicum.
Born July 28, 1921, in Baltimore she graduated from Eastern High School. She was a Linthicum resident for 55 years.
Mrs. Davis retired from the Baltimore City Police Department after 25 years of service. She supervised the Central Records Department at Police Headquarters.
Mrs. Davis was a long time active member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, She enjoyed following her grandchildren's activities. She was a fan of the Orioles, Colts, Ravens and fond of animals.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roland J. Davis Sr. and by her parents, Joseph and Adelaide Gentile.
Survivors include one son, Roland Davis Jr. and wife Teresa of Chesapeake, Va.; two daughters, Sue Gearhart and husband Randy of Pasadena and Debbie Shacklock and husband Earl of Glen Burnie; eight grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
