Gloria Mcpartlin

Gloria A. McPartlin (nee Romeo) died of natural causes on March 10, 2014. She was born on January 4, 1926 in Lock Haven, PA. She enlisted in the US Navy following high school graduation and served for nine years. She met Leland J. McPartlin while studying at the US Naval Training Center in Bainbridge, MD. They were married on June 1, 1957 and along with their children settled in Maryland in 1967. Gloria received her BA in Elementary Education from UMBC and taught in Anne Arundel County Public Schools for 10 years. Gloria and Leland retired to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1988. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991 and returned to Maryland in 1999. Her love of life, travel, adventure, golf, and the beach gave her many years of enjoyment. She resided in the Charlestown Senior Living Community where she remained active in golf and travel. She is survived by her three children, Patrick J. McPartlin, LeeAnne Houck, and Lenore Clevenger; five grandchildren, Shannon, Michael, and Stephen Houck, and Scott and Rachel Clevenger; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kailah Samuel, Maliah Houck, and Gregory Bell III.
