Gordon William Booker, Sr., 86, passed away on March 30, 2011 at his daughter's residence in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born in Baltimore on April 8, 1924 to the late William and Mary Booker. Gordon served in the US Navy during WWII as a Motor Machinist's Mate First Class onboard the USS LST 278. He was a lifetime employee of FMC in Curtis Bay as a machinist and a supervisor. Gordon was a huge baseball fan, who played semi-pro ball in his younger years. He also enjoyed many types of music and was a Master Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Dolores A. Booker and his sister Loretta Noyes. He is survived by his three children, Gordon Booker, Jr., Alan Booker and Terri Carruthers; his brother, Donald Booker; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
