Grace M. Novak

Grace Mary Novak, age 97, of Harmans, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in Fort Ashby, West Virginia. She was born on August 22, 1926 in Baltimore, MD. The daughter of Antonio Ciccone and Dora Marsiglia Ciccone Grace married Frank W. Novak on September 20, 1958 and he pre-deceased her on August 25, 2006.

She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Glen Burnie, MD.  Grace was a member of a neighborhood Bowling League for many years. She belonged to the Harmans Homemakers Club for many years. In her younger years, she worked at the C&P Telephone Company and Koppers Company in Baltimore, MD. Later she worked at the LaFontaine Bleue in Glen Burnie, MD until she retired. She enjoyed shopping and taking care of her family. She had several activities that she loved doing and she was always on the move. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Grace is survived by her son, Frank W. Novak, Jr. and his wife, Susan Novak of Fort Ashby, WV; her daughters, Rose Ann Edwards and her husband, Donald Edwards of Pasadena, MD; and Grace Mary Carder and her husband, Edward Carder of Dundalk, MD; her loving grandchildren, Shannon Hill and Phillip Lavergne of Montreal, CA; Justin Bock of Pasadena, MD; Jesse Bock and Jessica of Manchester, MD; Tyler Novak of Fort Ashby, WV; David Shifflett and Melissa Monk of Knoxville, TN; Michael Taylor (deceased) and Kimberly of Pasadena, MD. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her, husband, Frank W. Novak; and her siblings, Julia Olenick, Rose Dapkunas and Lawrence Ciccone. 

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2^nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Friday, Feb. 2^nd from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3^rd at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at New Cathedral Cemetery.
