Grant Acker

On March 13, 2009, Grant E. Acker of Glen Burnie, MD. Beloved husband of Dorothy Ferres-Acker and the late Marjorie Acker; loving father of Rick G. Acker and Robin A. Acker-Smith; devoted grandfather of Tricia, Malinda, Jason, Gregory, and Sarah; and great grandfather of Amanda, Amy, Destiny, Valerie, and Alivia. Mr. Acker was a man dedicated to our country serving 26 years in our military. He first enlisted in the navy in 1937 and the the army in 1941. Mr. Acker retired as a Chief Warrent Officer in 1963. Mr. Acker established the A.A. Appraisal Association. He was a member of the American Legion Post 40, D.A.V. Chapter #13, Purple Heart Organization, Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge #213, and was the Natonal Legislative Director of M.O.P.H. In his spare time he enjoyed computers and dancing and was very active in Glen Burnie United Methodist Church.
