Grant Gibbons, Jr

March 26, 1930 — February 28, 2013

On February 28, 2013, Grant Gibbons, Jr., 82, a longtime resident of Glen Burnie, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was born in Lee County, Virginia on March 26, 1930 to the late Lillie and Grant Gibbons. Grant served in the United States Army and he was a long distance truck driver and a security guard at Allied Barton. He enjoyed wood carving, Orioles, Ravens, NASCAR racing, driving his Mustang, and taking care of his wife and family. In addition to his parents, Grant was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brandy and his siblings, Randy Gibbons andd Stella Jackson. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Shirley M. Gibbons; three loving children, Andrea Jo Walkling and her husband Michael, Robert Grant Gibbons, Sr., and his wife Dianne, and Michael Wayne Gibbons, Sr. and his ex-wife Elizabeth; his cherished five grandchildren, Nicole, Robert G. Gibbons, Jr., Chris Charles Gibbons, Michael W. Gibbons, Jr., and Shannon Nicole.
