Just as it takes the clouds to make a beautiful sunset, our lives achieve their greatest beauty as we pass through the experience of life.
On December 14, 2012, we came to one of the clouds of life and we lift our thoughts to remember a faithful wife and friend.
Elizabeth Hendrix, was born to Howard and Thelma Immler, on December 7, 1919. Her formal education was received in the Seventh-Day Adventist Schools.
On October 19, 1941, Henrietta Elizabeth Immler and George William Hendrix were united in marriage, in the home of Chaplain Thomas, at the United States Naval Academy, in Annapolis, MD.
During World War II Elizabeth started to work for Montgomery Ward & Company. She worked there for a total of 38 years, and retired on January 20, 1983.
She was a faithful member of the Adventist Church where she held various offices; these included Sabbath School Secretary, Church Clerk, Teacher in the Junior Department, Deaconess, and Greeter. After her retirement, she volunteered for six and one-half years at the Community Center, serving the Lord. Her favorite hymn was "In The Garden". Three of her favorite texts were John 3:16, Psalms 23, and Psalms 118:24.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Hendrix and her brother Robert Immler, Sr. She is survived by two nephews, Robert Immler, Jr. and Thomas Immler.
