Harry Middlebrooks

March 13, 1924 — February 22, 2007

On February 22, 2007, Harry H. Middlebrooks passed on after a brief illness while in Florida. Harry is survived by his wife, Janet Middlebrooks; his sons, Harry Middlebrooks of Virginia and Edward and Gary Middlebrooks of Glen Burnie, Maryland; three sisters, Irene Schull and Mary Kesecker of Glen Burnie, Maryland, and Ida Mae Bentley of Ohio; two brothers, Jimmy Collison of Virginia and Buck Collison of Georgia; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Harry was born on March 13, 1924 in Carmel Church, Virginia. He, and his family, moved to Maryland when he was 9 years old. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He served as a Boiler Maker on both the USS Joseph P. Kennedy and the USS Fullam. He was an employee of the Baltimore Gas & Electric Company and Professional Home Services, Inc. Harry greatly enjoyed life. He spent many of the winter months vacationing in the state of Florida. He also served as the President of the Glen Burnie Lions Club and was a member for 30 years. He helped raise countless dollars to provide eyeglasses for those who could not afford them. Harry was a man who cared for others and helped them out whenever he could. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
