Mr. Henry Joseph Imwold "Hank", 92, of Linthicum, Maryland passed away on December 6, 2010 at Union Memorial Hospital. Henry was born in Baltimore, MD in 1917 to the late Margaret and Louis Imwold. He lived in a brick house on Medora Road that was built by his father in 1925. Henry attended Linthicum Elementary School, and graduated from Glen Burnie High School, Class of 1935. After graduation, he worked at Equitable Trust Co. in Baltimore, where he met his future wife Mary Elizabeth Poe. He eventually went on to be employed with The James Walker Company where he retired after 33 years. Henry enjoyed many hobbies including archery, duck and goose hunting, small boat building, and gardening. In later years he enjoyed feeding wildlife in his backyard and walking his "grand-dogs". He also enjoyed gold prospecting, which he and his wife did together in many states as far west as Arizona. Henry was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, for the most years and received recognition for this. He participated in many church events like oyster dinners, pancake breakfasts, strawberry festivals and church picnics. Henry worked on building the wooden stable and manger for St. John's Live Nativity that has been used for many years at Christmas. He was also a longtime member of the North-South Skirmish Assoc. & MD Artifact Recovery Society. He was the beloved husband of 62 years of Mary E. Imwold; devoted father of Carol Nettleship Dyas and husband John, Barbara Rose and husband Philip, and Susan Hrybyk and husband Richard; loving grandfather of Kris McGrew and husband Charles, Brian Dyas, Kevin Rose, Alison Rose, Alex Hrybyk and Jonathan Hrybyk.
