Henry Kaiss, Jr

On November 20, 1923, Henry F. Kaiss, Jr. of Linthicum, MD. Beloved husband of 60 years of Verma W. Kaiss. Devoted father of Sharon D. Reese and her husband Jay A., and Stephen H. Kaiss and his wife Melanie J. Loving grandfather of Jason Kahler, Elijah, Caleb, Noah and Hannah Kaiss. Dear brother of Phyllis Ford and Anna Spittel. He was born in Linthicum, MD in 1923. He graduated from high school. He served in the 8th Air Force in World War II. He was a Staff Sgt. during his service. He earned several awards including the American Campaign Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with a silver and a bronze star, the Good Conduct Medal with two bronze loops, the Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation and the World War II Victory Medal. He was an Engineer with C&P Telephone Company for 40 years. Henry was a member of the Linthicum United Methodist Church and the Pioneer Club. He had many hobbies including golfing and gardening. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
