Henry Schildwachter

Henry William Schildwachter, 94, of Glen Burnie, suddenly passed away on Saturday, June 5th 2021. He was born in Maryland on December 23rd 1926. Henry is survived by his children, Sue Schildwachter and her husband, Michael; Cindy Schildwachter Hughes and her husband, Eric; Martin Schildwachter and his wife, Mary; grandfather of Ashley Hughes, Sarah Schildwachter and Katie Clasing and her husband John, and great-granddaughter, Abbey Hedrick; a dear uncle of many nephews and nieces; and a good friend to many. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Virginia “Ginny” Schildwachter.

Henry proudly served his country with the US Navy through WWII and the Korean War. He retired from his employment with Westinghouse in 1992. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 40. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, photography and sweets. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Services for Henry will be held at a later date. The family would like for donations to be made in honor of Henry's name made to The Nature Conservancy at 4245 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 100 Arlington, Virginia 22203-1606.

** A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 28th at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6405 S. Orchard Rd., Linthicum, MD. Internment at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville will follow at 2:30 PM.
