Herold Sitlinger

Herold F. Sitlinger, 86 of Glen Burnie, passed away at his residence on May 16, 2014. Herold was born in Gratz, Pennsylvania on July 19, 1927. He served in the US Army during WWII, where he repaired cryptographic machines. He was carpenter and construction foreman by trade. Herold enjoyed gardening, puzzles, fishing, crabbing and hunting. He had a true love of baseball and football and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ruby E. Sitlinger; his children, David Stillman, Sherrie Erdman, Robyn Hagedorn, Holly Brundick and Danelle Montevago; his siblings, Martha Weist, George Sitlinger and Irene Hepler. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Sitlinger.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 1:00-2:00pm at Simeon United Lutheran Church, Gratz, Pennsylvania followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm wtih Rev. Martine Joseph officiating. Internment will take place in the Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz.
