Heru Ra Walmsley, 90, of Glen Burnie, passed away on October 21, 2016 at Hospice of the Chesapeake. He was born in Missouri on March 23, 1926 to the late Harry an Alice Walmsley. He worked as an engineer with Westinghouse and retired after 30+ years of service. Heru was an active volunteer with the National Electronics Museum in Linthicum. He was an amateur Herpetologist and HAM radio enthusiast (his call sign was W3WVV). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Roland Walmsley; and his brothers, Niefer Carl Walmsley and Orrin Miller.
Heru is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Jane; five children, William Emerson Walmsley and his wife Janet, Keith Samuel Walmsley, Melinda Isis Gretsinger and her husband Nelson, Heru Ra Walmsley II and his wife Robin Devaux, Neil Carl Walmsley and his wife Rita; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter with one on the way; and one brother, Anthony Miller.
