Ilene Pappafotis

On Sunday, July 22, 2007, Ilene M. Pappafotis passed away at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. She is survived by her cherished husband of 58 years, Spero J. Pappafotis. Ilene is also survived by her loving sons Michael, John, George and James Pappafotis, her seven beloved grandchildren and her brothers Theran and Herman McClure. She was predeceased by her daughter, Christina Pappafotis and her sisters, Cheryl Pellegrini and Vyrl Wheaton.
Ilene was born in Greene County in the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania. She worked for four years in the fingerprint division for the FBI during WWII and later worked as a bookkeeper for Top Value Enterprises. Ilene was a member of the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Annapolis and she enjoyed ballroom dancing, painting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
