Ingrid Vogelsong

Ingrid Karine Georgette Vogelsong, 62, of 4720 East Trindle Road, Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday night at the Tate Foundation Chesapeake Hospice House in Linthicum, Maryland, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Oostende, Belgium, October 17, 1945 to the late Emilius Oscar Hallemeesch and Germaine Irene Hallemeesch nee Blomme, and had lived in Mechanicsburg since 1991. She was previously married to David Vogelsong of Mechanicsburg, and moved there when he retired from the Air Force. She worked at various times during his military career for the Department of Defense, Army & Air Force Exchange Service, Michigan Public School System, Carlisle Barracks Officers Club, The Colony House Restaurant, and Bob Evans.
She was a devoted Mother, a lover of animals, and an advocate for animal rights.
She is survived by a daughter, Tracy LG Weiss of Linthicum Maryland, and a niece, Brigitte Vianne-Beauprez of Oostende, Belgium.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Raymond, and her sisters Georgette, Simone, and Gilbert.
There will be no service, and memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Harrisburg Area Inc www.humanesocietyhbg.org.
