Irene Flaig

Irene June Flaig, 84, of Odenton, passed away on June 14, 2014. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 3, 1930 to the late Lottie and Thomas Cogswell. Irene worked for 25 years as a telephone operator with the Chessie Railroad system. She was an active member of O'Malley Senior Center as well as the Red Hat Society. Irene enjoyed trips to the beach and the casinos, bingo, cheering on the Ravens, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and family gatherings.
Irene was predeceased by her devoted husband of 44 years, Louis Edward Flaig, Jr., her son, Louis E. Flaig, III, and her four sisters. She is survived by her beloved children, David C. Flaig, Sr. and Susan F. Halley; her cherished grandchildren, David Jr., Joe Jr., Jeremy, Michael, and Matthew; and her four beloved great-grandchildren.
