James Gross, Sr.

James Thomas Gross, Sr., 85, of Severna Park, Maryland, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019.  James was born in Cumberland, Maryland, to the late Emily and Paul Gross.  He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a Spec-3 in active duty and retired from the Army Reserves as a Captain.   He was a supervisor at Northrop Grumman and was a member of the American Legion Post 40.  He enjoyed model railroad trains, watching war movies, and wood carving.

James was predeceased by his devoted wife of 45 years, Elodia V. Gross.  He is survived by his beloved children, James Thomas Gross, Jr. and his wife Teresa, James Karl Gross, and Laura Ann Hallman.

The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S.W. (at Crain Hwy) Glen Burnie on Monday, January 14th, from 12-1 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel.  Interment MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James’ name may be made to American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
