James Guy Hall, 86, of Glen Burnie, passed away on Sunday, June 13th 2021. He was born in Auburn, West Virginia on November 6, 1934 to the late Isadora and Arza Hall. Guy joined the US Marine Corp and served his country for 4 years during the Korean War. He joined the Anne Arundel County Police Dept. and was a Police Officer for 20 years. Guy was a member of many organizations, including, American Legion Post 276, VFW 160, the USMC League, FRA and Masonic Temple. He was known for his charitable work, helping with Toys for Tots, donating time with Shriners and Walter Reed. Guy enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing and golf. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Guy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Hall (nee McCarty), his sons, Christopher (Stacy) Hall, Mike (Molly) Hall, and his daughter, Renee Hall, his granddaughters, Breanna Hall, Elizabeth Hall, Sarah Hall, Gabriella Hall, Karissa Collier, and Julia Hall, his grandsons, Joshua Hall, Michael Hall, Nicholas Behr, and John Behr. He is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Murphy.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, June 21st from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and a celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 22nd at the American Legion Post 276, located at 8068 Quarterfield Road, Severn, MD. from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would request donations be made in honor of Guy’s name to the Alzheimer Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601
