James Jerman, Jr.

On Monday, September 19, 2022, James Arthur Jerman, Jr. of Millersville, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved cousin of Kathleen Hope Thompson, Sondra J. Hatch, Lisa L. Hatch and her husband Mark, John Neale Hatch and Hayden, Madelyn and Paige. He is also survived by the Ray Jerman, Jr. family. He was preceded in death by his parents; Claris E. (Mullenax) and James A. Jerman, Sr.

Jim graduated from the University of Maryland where he was a member of the R.O.T.C. in the early 50's and ending up as a 1st Lt. in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller. He then worked for NASA working on their budget appearing in front of members of Congress many times. He also was instrumental in establishing the Anne Arundel Radio Club and was so passionate about Ham Radios.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 11:00 am till the start of the Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Baldwin United Methodist Church Cemetery, Millersville, MD where Mr. Jerman, Jr. will receive Military Honors. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
