On March 22, 2007, James C. Vecheck, of Hanover, passed on. James was a devoted member of his family, which includes his loving wife, Isabelle R. Vecheck; his dear children, Mary Kay Mull, Cindy Chamberlain and James Vecheck; six dear grandchildren; his loving sisters, Inez Lakatos and Eleanor Azare; and his dear brother, Clem Vechik. He was preceded in death by his loving sisters, Virginia Sucarichi, Ann Backos; Elizabeth Williams and Mary Rubino; and his dear brothers, Lt. Col. Donald Vechik and Ken Vechik. James was born in 1927 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force for six years. He was a 1st Lieutenant of the Air Force and held the position of Air Electrical Officer. James was a graduate of California University in Pennsylvania. He also attended class at the Johns Hopkins School of Engineering. Later, he became an employee with Westinghouse. He retired as a Senior Engineer after 30 years. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was also with the Timber Ridge Improvement Association for 42 years. James enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening and building projects. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
