James Bernard Roddy, Jr., 83, of Glen Burnie, passed away on November 15, 2022, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on August 29, 1939, to the late Margaret and James Roddy, Sr. James served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He then went on to work at N.S.A. as a cryptographer for 25 years, and continued to work for 21 years at Arundel Golf Park at BWI. James enjoyed golfing and spending time with grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his devoted wife, Inez M. Roddy. He is survived by his beloved son, Scott H. Roddy; his dear daughter-in-law, Heather; his cherished grandchildren, Dominic and Daelyn; and his dear sister, Mary Theresa Hornberger.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A graveside service for James will be held on Wednesday, November 30th, at 10 AM at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
