Jamie Ilene Purper of Harmans, passed away on February 24, 2016 at her home, surrounded by friends and family. She was born in Annapolis, Maryland on August 4, 1999 to Jeffrey and Kimberlee Purper. She was a member of the Wesley Grove United Methodist Church and attended Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School in Hanover, where she was a member of the bocce team. Jamie's main goal in life was helping other people, especially those that were less fortunate than her. She started many charitable drives such as gift cards, coats, hats, scarves, blankets, toys and more, then she would donate them to organizations to help people in need. She always tried to find a plan to help and when she completed that task she would move on to the next, for which she received a Governor's Citation. She enjoyed reading, music, drawing, attending musicals and taking pictures.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Walter Purper. She is survived by her twin brother, Tyler; her grandparents Martha Purper, and Jim and Verneda Lack; her aunts and uncles, Susan Costello, Terri and Donnie Morrow, Debbie Bylak, Brandie and Kenny Shew, Summer Vincent and beloved BFF Megan Birmingham; her cousins Tristan, Mikey, Jessica, Daniel, Jenna, Nicole, Danielle and Jonathan; her God Parents Penny and Roger Parks, and a host of friends and Facebook followers.
