Janet Crowe

On Sunday, September 20, 2020, Janet G. Crowe, 71, of Columbia, passed away at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia.  She was the wife of the late John B. Crowe, who passed on August 20, 1993.

Janet was born on July 27, 1949 in Bend, OR to the late Ivan R. and Arleta L. (Ridgeway) Copley.  She graduated from Redmond High School, then attended the Springfield College of Beauty.  She had also worked for Dunbar Armored, Inc. (Formerly Federal Armored Express) for 30 years as an Assistant Accountant Manager.  She was a member of the U.S. Junior Chamber (the Jaycees).  In her spare time, Janet enjoyed gardening, reading, doing puzzles, attending Ravens and Orioles games, going to country music concerts, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her three children, Robert A. Blizzard, Jr., Raymond N. Blizzard, and Christine L. Sheeley; four grandchildren, Miranda L. and Holly C. Blizzard, Jonathan K. and Coralee A. Sheeley; and one sister, Joanne Luke.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one nephew, Mathew Luke.

Family will receive visitors on Monday, September 28, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW, Glen Burnie.  Interment is private.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors.  We ask that you keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to get into the funeral home.  You may offer condolences to the family by clicking the Tribute Wall tab above.
