Janet Sue Knight, 84, of Pasadena, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2020, at Genesis Healthcare in Severna Park. Known to many by her middle name, Sue was born on October 9, 1936, to the late John and Mildred Chenowith. Sue grew up in the Lakeland area of Baltimore and attended Seton High School before marrying and starting a family.
Dedicated to her family, Sue took great joy in spending holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings with those she loved. Sue was an avid fan of both the Ravens and Orioles. She spent much of her free time watching her favorite programs on television and talking with those close to her.
Sue is predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth Knight, and son, Richard Knight. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Deborah Adkins and husband Sandy, and Beth Bentley; cherished grandchildren, Jessica Williams and her husband Scott, Ashley Knight, Rachel Bentley, and Scott Bentley; adored great-grandchildren, Andrew Stinson, Kiersten Williams, and Ryan Williams. Sue is predeceased by her dear brother, John “Jack” Chenowith and son-in-law, John Bentley, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Sue’s honor to the Dementia Society of America at www.dementiasociety.org, or a charity of your choosing.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy), on Friday, December 18th, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be Private. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
